1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e5 3. d5?!

After this Black gains a lead in development and superb play on the dark squares.

Standard is to accept the Budapest Gambit by 3. dxe5 when 3... Ne4!? is the Faj, where Black sacs a pawn(and 3... Ng4 is the main line Budapest where Black generally recovers the pawn).

3... Bc5 4. h3?

Relatively best was instead 4. e3 O-O

4... Bxf2+!! 5. Kxf2 Ne4+ 6. Kf3

a) 6. Ke3 Qh4 7. g4 Nf2 8. Qe1 Qg3+ 9. Nf3 Nxh1 10. Qxg3 Nxg3 11. Bg2 h5

b) 6. Ke1?? Qh4+ 7. g3 Qxg3#

6... Qh4 7. g4

7... f5!

7... Nf2? 8. Qe1 Qf6+ 9. Kg2! Nxh1 10. Kxh1

8. gxf5

8. Ke3 Na6! 9. Qa4 Qg3+ 10. Nf3 Nac5 and mate by f4 or Qf4 is unavoidable.

8... Rf8!?

8... O-O is basically the same thing, while Fritz prefers 8... d6 9. Ke3 Bxf5 etc.

9. Ke3 Rxf5

9... Na6! 10. Qa4 Nac5 forces mate and is therefore more precise.

10. Nf3 Qf4+ 11. Kd3 Nf2+

and White resigns as he is losing his Queen, e.g.: 12.Kc2 Qe4+ etc. or 12.Kc3 Nxd1+.
